HUMAN DESIGN EXPERIMENT INSIGHTS FROM A 5/1 GENERATOR
My own Human Design experiment has been a transformative journey filled with bold moves, unexpected revelations, and big realisations about the power of alignment.

1. Alignment is ever evolving:
You may have heard in my early podcast episodes about my journey and how it began with a radical decision—to dismantle my business as I knew it and say goodbye to all my regular clients. Despite loving these relationships with my clients, the work itself no longer resonated with me.
What I have realised since then is that my open root centre clashed with the deadline-driven nature of those services I was offering them.
It’s meant that I now do not offer services that work to strict weekly deadlines and the only deadlines I have now are the ones I set – and I set them loosely to buy myself that flexibility. For example if I think I can get something done in two days I’ll tell the client to expect it in four, just incase something comes up and I need the time. And if I get to them in two well then it’s an unexpected surprise for them!
What I've really come to understand through my experiment is that alignment is a process of continual refinement. As a Generator with a line 1 profile, I'm always researching about things that interest me - mainly that is Human Design and business.. This innate curiosity has fueled my journey, driving me to explore new avenues and integrate fresh insights into my business practices as I go.
Each twist and turn in my alignment journey has been a stepping stone toward greater clarity and authenticity. I've learned to embrace the ebb and flow of alignment, trusting that each evolution brings me closer to my true path.
So what I am trying to say is when I think that I have finally uncovered that alignment and found ‘the’ thing I find a new insight and that takes me even further into alignment. It’s a never ending process and I love the ride.
2. Every experiment guides you to your perfect path
In your Human Design experiment, each thing you do serves a sa stepp9ng stone, guiding you tot he next level. With every lesson learned, you’re propelled foward, closer to your ultimate desitnation.
By applying what I am learning to my own business I'm really putting it into practice and modifying it to something that actually works.
Over the last year I have created offers and services by working with my Human Design. Some turned out to be a flop - but that’s good because it taught me more about listening to my authority. Some turned out to be great to begin with and then fizzed – and that led me to working with my Human Design to develop into something new.
As I applied my Human Design insights to my own business, a remarkable transformation occurred. Every thing I have done since infusing Human Design into my business has led to the creation of my Genius Business Foundations program – a comprehensive guide to aligning your brand and business with your unique Human Design.
I drew from my own experiences and insights and what I was doing behind the scenes in my own business to align with my Human Design.
I also had a marketing program that was really great but I pulled it towards the end of ’23 because I got those pangs that something wasn’t right anymore – what I realise was it was missing the brand foundation stuff that is crucial to alignment.
So I took those two things and I crafted a roadmap for fellow solopreneurs seeking alignment and growth.
Now I didn’t just decide it was a good idea to create it. It was also in response to what people were asking me about. They wanted somewhat that showed them in a practical way HOW to infuse Human Design into their business and bring in that energetics.
The success and positive feedback from the program participants has been truly inspiring. It's a testament to the transformative power of alignment and the impact it can have in your business - and it’s giving them some deep insights - one person told me yesterday that she’s quit her day job as a result!
While I’m super pumped about this program I'm reminded that alignment is not a destination but a continual evolution – a journey of growth and self-discovery. In the future I’m sure this may evolve further and I’m all for the ride.
3. Leveraging Strengths:
I've discovered how to leverage my strengths – my defined centers. These are the aspects we excel at because they are essential for fulfilling our life's purpose.
With a defined Solar Plexus, I possess a deep well of emotional energy – a gift that allows me to empathise with others and guide them through their own emotional landscapes. Harnessing this energy has been pivotal in my work, enabling me to create deep connections and create authentic relationships with my audience.
My Sacral center pulses with enthusiasm – it's an infectious energy that inspires and motivates those around me. By embracing and amplifying this energy, I've been able to ignite passion and drive in both myself and others.
My defined spleen means I can tap into my intuition like a boss. I tap into this on the regular. For writing podcast episodes, social media captions, everything. I’ve learnt how to work with my intuitive strengths.
4. Navigating Strategy and Authority:
Mastery of strategy and authority has been a big part of my alignment journey. I’m a Generator so my strategy is to respond – an approach that prioritises patience, and trust in the universe's timing.
I basically need to wait for things to cross my path and respond to it.
It’s about listening to my body’s response to whether something excites me or not and its also about responding to things that come my way. For example, a client may ask me a question and in response to that I may write a social media post about it.
Or in the case of my Genius Business Foundations program, my Chart Reading clients had questions around how they can actually infuse their Human Design elements into their business.
Listening to my emotional authority has also been transformative, guiding me toward decisions aligned with my true purpose and highest good. By embracing the wisdom of my emotional authority, I've learned to navigate life's twists and turns.
Here’s how I work with my decision making:
I have a defined spleen and sacral centre so when something comes across my path I may get that instant intuitive hit or gut reaction. But I don’t act on it. Instead I take note and give myself 24 hours to ensure my emotional wave is regulated. If I make a decision on an emotional high I’m probably going to say yes because I’m in that heightened state. If I’m in an emotional low I’ll probably say no to something because I’m in that low state. So I wait and then check back in and see how I ‘feel’ about it. And if I feel good I say yes, if I’m not sure I say no.
Working with your strategy and authority is definitely a learning process but I feel like only now I”m really getting a better understanding of that.
